SYNOPSIS 

Bodyguard Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) is hired to protect Takashi Kurosawa, a Japanese arms dealer. All apparently goes well, until Kurosawa is shot in the head at the last minute. Two years later, Bryce has fallen into disgrace and ekes out a living protecting drug-addicted corporate executives. Meanwhile, Vladislav Dukhovich, the ruthless and bloodthirsty dictator of Belarus, is put on trial for crimes against humanity at the International Court of Justice. The prosecution is unable to make headway against him, as they are unable to substantiate their allegations with physical evidence and Dukhovich assassinates any witnesses who could do so. The prosecution's last hope is notorious hitman Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson), who agrees to testify against Dukhovich in exchange for the exoneration of his wife Sonia, who is currently incarcerated.

Interpol Assistant Director Jean Foucher assigns Amelia Roussel, a greenhorn agent who is Bryce's estranged ex-girlfriend, to lead a squad of Interpol agents tasked with escorting Kincaid to The Hague to testify. However, the convoy is ambushed in Coventry and everyone except Kincaid and Roussel is killed. The two retreat to a safehouse, where they deduce someone in Interpol must have betrayed them to Dukhovich. Realizing that they need someone who is completely unaffiliated with Interpol and can remain trustworthy, Roussel contacts Bryce. Bryce is reluctant to help, as he has had multiple conflicts with Kincaid in the past and believes that Roussel was responsible for the death of Kurosawa two years ago, but ultimately agrees to aid them in exchange for the restoration of his good name. Roussel returns to Interpol to update them on the situation while Bryce and Kincaid escape an attack by Dukhovich's men.

Foucher approaches Dukhovich, revealing himself to be the traitor, and demands his payment for selling out Kincaid; Dukhovich stabs him in the hand and informs him he will only be paid when Kincaid is dead. Dukhovich's men track Kincaid's location through his cellphone and ambush him and Bryce. While they are able to fight them off, their vehicle is destroyed. The two hitchhike to a ferry terminal and take a ferry to Amsterdam, where Sonia is being held. Kincaid escapes from Bryce to send flowers to Sonia, and Bryce tracks him down and kills several more hitmen. Kincaid reveals that he killed Kurosawa two years ago, having shot him in order to collect the bounty on his head. Enraged at the revelation that he has spent two years blaming Roussel for "betraying" him when in reality the client's death was a sheer fluke, Bryce abandons him.

As Bryce bemoans his failures, a group of hitmen attacks Kincaid. Bryce changes his mind and helps Kincaid escape, but is captured. Dukhovich's men torture him in an attempt to find Kincaid, who tracks Bryce down and rescues him. The two battle their way to The Hague, arriving just in time for Kincaid to testify. He successfully proves that Dukhovich ordered the slaughter of a village; Dukhovich tried to hire Kincaid to assassinate a political rival, but in the process Kincaid witnessed the execution of a village, uploading photos of the massacre to a secret web site that he provides the court with access to. Dukhovich resorts to his backup plan; to bomb the court, allowing him to steal a gun and attempt to kill Kincaid. Bryce jumps in the way of the bullet and orders Kincaid to stop Dukhovich from escaping. Roussel notices Foucher acting suspiciously during the attack, and deduces he was the traitor. She subdues him with Bryce's aid, and the two rekindle their relationship. Kincaid pursues Dukhovich to the roof of the building, where he attempts to escape by helicopter. Kincaid destroys the helicopter and corners Dukhovich. Dukhovich attempts to break Kincaid by claiming he will never be able to redeem himself for his sins, but Kincaid laughs it off, stating that he doesn't care but that Dukhovich should not have shot Kincaid's bodyguard, and then Kincaid kicks Dukhovich off the roof to his death. In the aftermath, Sonia is released, and Kincaid breaks out of jail to celebrate their anniversary, living happily ever after.

SYNOPSIS 

In Seattle, high school student Light Turner encounters a notebook marked "Death Note". He is visited by the death god Ryuk who tells him that he can cause the death of anyone they write in the book and the means of how they die as long as they know their face. Light is coaxed into testing it on a bully. That evening, Light is compelled to write down Skomal's name, a criminal who ran down his mother. Mia Sutton, a cheerleader and Light's classmate, inquires about the Death Note. Light demonstrates how it works and Mia encourages Light to use the Death Note to rid the world of criminals, improving society under the guise of a god known as "Kira". Kira's killings become beloved by the public, and Light and Mia become lovers. Kira's actions have drawn attention of "L", a enigmatic detective who is able to track down Kira's location to Seattle and his source to their police database. L and his assistant/father-figure Watari travel to Seattle and meet with James Turner, a police officer and Light's father, to discuss how they will catch Kira. L gives a televised speech, taunting Kira to kill him, but when this fails to happen, L suspects that Kira must know a person's name and face in order to kill.

L has FBI agents follow Light and others he suspects as Kira. The FBI agents thereafter commit mass suicide and Light accuses Ryuk of killing them. James appears on television and vows to apprehend Kira. Mia tries to kill him, but Light stops her. L comes to the conclusion that Light is Kira, and confronts him. Light uses the Death Note to force Watari to learn of L's real name, lost in an abandoned orphanage, within the next 48 hours. As Ryuk explains, Light can burn the page with Watari's name to cancel the death before the 48 hours are up. However, he also learns that this can only work on one victim of the Death Note. L learns Watari has disappeared, and orders Light's house to be searched; however, Mia was able to sneak the Death Note out. Knowing that Light is still being followed, Mia helps him to sneak away at the school dance, allowing him to collect the Death Note and burn Watari's page. Watari finds L's records moments before the deadline, but Light finds Watari's page missing, and he is killed before he can reveal L's name. Mia reveals that she had used the Death Note to kill the FBI agents, took Watari's page, and had also written Light's name in it, giving him 24 hours before his heart stops, effectively blackmailing him into giving her the Death Note, offering to burn Light's page if he complies. L, meanwhile, is devastated by Watari's loss, and goes on his own manhunt for Light. With police closing in on the school, Light tells Mia to meet him at the Seattle Great Wheel where he will turn over the book, and then eludes the police. L catches up to him and prepares to kill him, but a passerby, learning Light is Kira, knocks L out. Pursued by police, Light meets Mia and stow themselves away on the Ferris wheel. Mia forcefully takes the Death Note from Light after he fails to dissuade her from doing so, upon which he reveals that he wrote her name in the book, with her death only dependent on her taking the Death Note from him. With both of them doomed, Ryuk begins to cause the ferris wheel to collapse. Mia falls to her death, while Light and the Death Note fall into the water. The page with Light's name on it ends up falling into a burn barrel. Though Light is recovered, he has fallen into a coma.

A few days later, a man who had recovered the Death Note when it washed ashore leaves it at Light's bedside. Light wakes up to find his father there who reveals that he knew Light was Kira after finding a news clipping about Skomal in Light's room and realizing that he was Kira's first victim. Light explains that he used the Death Note at the school to plan out Mia's death in a way that would burn the page with his name on it. He also manipulated several criminals to induce him into a medical coma, having them use the Death Note during his comatose absence to give himself an alibi. With Kira continuing to kill while Light was in a coma, L is taken off the case and forced to return to Japan. As his plane is about to take off, he ponders on a comment Light made during their standoff about being able to kill with a calculus book. After recalling Mia's involvement in the case and finding out she was a calculus student, he races to her home to search her possessions. He finds the Death Note page with the FBI agents that she killed on it, and contemplates writing a name on the page. Back in Light's hospital room, Ryuk comments to Light that "humans are so interesting".

SYNOPSIS

Surly is now loved by the park community and currently overseeing an all-you-can-eat buffet at the condemned nut shop. This worries Andie, as she prefers a more hard-working outlook on life. Despite Surly's reassurances all is well, the nut shop is accidentally blown up by Mole when he neglects to cut down pressure from the boiler in the nut shop. Andie takes the opportunity to try and get the animals back to their roots by foraging for food in Liberty Park while Surly and Buddy try to find other food-packed places, but fail each time. Defeated, he and Buddy decide to go back to the park.

Meanwhile, Mayor Percival J. Muldoon relishes in his wealth that comes from profit-making locations across his city. However, he notices Liberty Park never makes money, so he decides to turn it into Liberty Land to pocket more cash. During a press conference, Surly and Andie discovers Mayor Muldoon's plot and Surly convinces the animals to fight back, which they do successfully and they manage to sabotage the construction worker's efforts to tear down the park. However, Surly's enjoyment is short-lived when Andie attempts to convince the animals to work hard for food as he believes it can result in disappointment, possibly because of the harsh lifestyle the animals use to lead under Raccoon's selfish control over them and fears it will happen again. When the foreman of the construction workers tells the Mayor about the animal attacks, Muldoon calls an extermination squad led by Gunther to get rid of the animals.

Surly gets caught in one of Gunther's traps when looking for food and the animals are pursued by Frankie where he falls in love with Precious as she is suddenly abducted by Heather Muldoon. Surly and Buddy head out to rescue her while Andie and the Bruisers find a new park when Liberty Park is eventually overtaken. While searching for Muldoon's car, Surly and Buddy run afowl with a colony of territorial white mice led by Mr. Feng. They manage to evade the mice and find Mayor Muldoon's mansion where they save Precious in Heather's room. In the process, Precious tells Frankie she is not interested in him, breaking his heart. However, Heather finds the animals and alerts her dad. Surly's recklessness causes Mayor Muldoon to injure Buddy, who hits his head and ends up in a coma. Meanwhile, Andie and the Bruisers find what seems to be a suitable park, but it turns out to be a golf course.

Surly returns with Precious and a lifeless Buddy, reuniting with the others down in a hole near the construction of the theme park. While mourning for Buddy, a heartbroken Surly recounts the day he and Buddy met when they were kids and had saved each others lives during a hurricane. Precious licks Buddy, and Surly, upon seeing his friend move, tells the pug to lick the rat again. Precious does so, awakening Buddy from his coma and a deeply relieved Surly hugs his best friend. At the animals’ urging, Surly leads them to take back the park from Mayor Muldoon and his followers during the exclusive opening of Liberty Land. After crashing the opening, Mayor Muldoon calls Gunther and his team over to capture them and Surly is the only one left standing, so he goes to Mr. Feng and his army. While attacking Surly, the latter convinces Feng and the animals must work together regardless of whether they are from the city or a park and this causes Feng to spare him and agree to help.

After busting his friends out of one of Gunther's vehicles, Surly rounds up all the animals to take back Liberty Park and they manage to overwhelm the humans as well as destroying the property so badly the police begin to see that the amusement park is too dangerous to keep open. Precious finds Frankie and apologizes to him for what happened earlier. After slowing earning his forgiveness back, Heather tries to get Gunther to tranquilize them, but shoots Heather instead of knocking her out. Mayor Muldoon tries to escape the chaos using a hot air balloon, but Surly and Buddy commandeer a roller coaster to catch up to him. Surly makes it on top of the balloon and he and Mayor Muldoon have a long, intense battle that ends with Surly opening his umbrella and catching a gust of wind that causes the mayor to fall on a bouncy house where he is attacked by Mr. Feng and his army as revenge against him for losing their homes to him. Mayor Muldoon, Heather, and Gunther are arrested by the police and Liberty Land is shut down.

Several months later, people help rebuild Liberty Park to its former glory. After the park is rebuilt, Mr. Feng and his colony decide to stay in the park and focus on the peaceful art of Tai chi, Precious and Frankie have puppies and Surly, who finally sees the value of hard work, takes Andie, his official girlfriend, on a ride with Precious with him to rob a nut cart.

In the post credits scene, it is revealed that Raccoon is still alive and he is swimming back home with sharks perusing him.
